Development on hold (hopefully just indefinitely, not permanently)


I've Decided to put development on Bio-Drone on hold.

There are a couple of reasons why I'm why doing this but the main reasons are due to art and gameplay.

to start with, while I enjoy pixel art as someone that plays video games, I am not particularly fond of it as a developer. keeping track of z layers and animating sprites are just not something that I enjoy doing and while 3d models come with their own set of challenges in regards to rigging, animation and textures, I just personally enjoy those challenges (or at the very least, tolerate them) a lot more than I do with pixel art.

Regarding gameplay, the main issue I had was that I wasn't finding it as interesting as I was hoping. When I started development I started by thinking up what I wanted to make then simplifying that idea until it hits something that I could make; the issue here is that what I ended up at is something that's kinda fun but not all that interesting, so I've decided to put development on hold until I can work this into something a that I can be proud of.
